Télédiffusion d'Algérie to use ICS Telecom and ICS Manager Paris, June 20, 2002 Télédiffusion d'Algérie (TDA) is the regulator for the Algerian broadcasting industry. It is responsible for allocating frequencies to analogue and digital television, co-ordinating with broadcasting authorities in neighbouring countries and relationships with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). TDA has ordered a global tool comprising ICS Manager and ICS Telecom from ATDI. ICS Manager is used for frequency management (frequency plan, licences, documents, etc.), while ICS Telecom is dedicated to network planning (digital and analogue TV, Microwaves, etc.) and national mapping. TDA is a member of the broadcasting union for Arab countries (ASBU). This association is made up of regulators in charge of TV frequency management in 21 Arab countries. |
