The ASBU chooses ATDI Software

The Arab States Broadcasting Union has just selected a number of software programs developed by ATDI to assist in its missions.

Paris, September 23, 2002

Created in 1969, the ASBU (Arab States Broadcasting Union) is responsible for the coordination of activities linked to broadcasting in Arab countries. It now has twenty members*.

Its primary objective being to develop and coordinate cooperation between its members in the fields of television and radio engineering in order to improve performance, the Union was in search of a number of tools capable of helping it to successfully fulfil its missions.

For this purpose, it has just selected a number of software programs developed by ATDI.

  • ICS Telecom, firstly, for technical analysis of analogue and digital networks, including site research, frequency planning and interference calculation.
  • ICS Manager for administrative tasks, including frequency management, international coordination and notification to the ITU (International Telecommunications Union).
  • ICS Map Server, lastly, for processing of maps of the countries in the zone.
